Lahore: 2022 has been a tumultuous year for domestic politics, the political temperature is rising every day, new scandals and cases have troubled both the government and the opposition. If he is out of the House, the 13-party alliance is sitting on the seat of power.

The year 2022 started with PDM's Manghai Macao Movement and announced rallies and long marches against the policies of the PTI government. He reached Islamabad on March 8, after which the decisive round of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan began and on the same day, the opposition submitted a requisition to convene a meeting of the assembly with a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan.
Imran Khan accused the opposition parties of being part of an American conspiracy and announced that he was ready to face a no-confidence motion, but Tehreek-e-Insaf suffered a major blow when 20 of his own members defected and the political scene The name has changed completely.
On March 28, Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif moved a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, on April 3, Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri rejected the no-confidence motion as against Article 5 of the Constitution. On April 7, the Supreme Court, rejecting the attempt to dissolve the National Assembly and stop the no-confidence vote, ordered that a vote on the no-confidence motion be held when the National Assembly session resumes at 10:30 am on April 9.
However, no-confidence motion was not presented in the National Assembly for the whole day and Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri resigned from their positions before 12:00 PM. After which the meeting of the National Assembly was adjourned till 12:02 in the night between April 9 and 10. On April 10, the no-confidence motion was passed in the National Assembly by 174 votes and Imran Khan lost the confidence of the House, while on April 11, the National Assembly met to elect a new Prime Minister.
All PTI members, including Tehreek-e-Insaf's candidate for Prime Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, walked out in protest and Shahbaz Sharif was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, while PTI members of the National Assembly announced their resignation.
With the change in the federal government, Tehreek-e-Insaf also had to wash its hands of the Punjab government and Hamza Shehbaz became the new Chief Minister of Punjab after the no-confidence motion against Sardar Usman Buzdar was successful. As a result of the decision, the crown of the Chief Minister was placed on the head of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
After that, on May 25, Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan left Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with a caravan for a sit-in in Islamabad, but postponed the protest early the next day due to the severe crackdown by the federal government. Raja Pervez Ashraf accepted the resignations of 11 members of Tehreek-e-Insaf, then in the by-election of 8, Imran Khan once again won by himself from 6 constituencies.
On October 27, Imran Khan once again started a long march from Lahore to Islamabad, but on November 4, he was fired upon near Wazirabad, in which one person was killed, while several PTI leaders including Imran Khan were injured. After a gap of three weeks, PTI long march reached Rawalpindi on November 26, Imran Khan in his address announced the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies.
